STEAM Day

STEAM day at our school encouraging students to exercise critical thinking skills in a fun and engaging way.

Year 6.1 Investigating circuits and electricity, a hands-on opportunity to understand the flow of electricity, learn about components like wires, batteries, and bulbs, and grasp concepts such as conductivity and circuit completion.

Special Unit Group 4: Blooming Flowers Experiment and Colour Changing Flowers Experiment

Year 1 and 2 – Investigating and observing change of state. Students enjoying themselves pouring in molds and creating stamp like figures.

Year 3 and 4 – Exploring through hands-on the mechanics of gears, and observing how a small movement can produce a larger movement.

Year 5 – Creating artistic rockets while exploring the chemical reaction between bicarbonate of soda to propel the rocket into the air.

Year 6.2 Exploring the interplay between gravitational forces and air resistance to understand how to keep the wrapped egg from breaking.

Class 5 Special Unit: Engaging in a sensory investigation, while also adding a touch of magic by experimenting with electrostatic properties to attract paper with perspex.

Kinder 1.2 – Planting Activity

Kinder 1.1: STEM Activity. Fizzy Oranges

K 2.1. STEM Activity: Paper car race. How to make a paper car move without touching it.
