The second meeting of the Focus group ‘Dealing with Autism in Gozo’ was held on the 18th of May 2017 with the participation of professionals, parents and Hon. Dr Justyne Caruana Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Aging. The work done in Gozo in the past year and the way forward were discussed during this meeting. The meeting was followed by the inauguration of the Lifeskills Room by Hon. Dr Justyne Caruana. This is another milestone in the work done in favour of students with Autism in Gozo. Lifeskills sessions are part of the curriculum followed by students who attend Sannat Special Unit. This room, in which students can practice lifeskills, was designed to resemble the home environment. This is one of the fruitful results of the Erasmus+ project Dealing with Autism in Gozo.
