As part of the eTwinning project, Countdown to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020, the Year 5 children had a treasure hunt around our school. The Winter Olympics and the Paralympics were the main topics of the December challenge. Children were divided in groups. And each group had to look for 14 QR codes. Once scanned they had to work out a Maths investigation related to the Winter and Paralympic Games. Watch video ->
The year 5 children drew logos for the new Erasmus project which started this September. The children had to vote for the best 2 logos. The three best logos that were chosen will now be sent to all the partner schools in Europe. Three logos from each country together with ours will have a chance to be the chosen logo for this Erasmus project titled Europeans together for Earth – E.T.E. Watch Video ->
Year 5 teacher Mario Mifsud has attended a conference in Dublin, Ireland entitled ”From Virtual to Reality: Moving from eTwinning to Erasmus+ in schools” between the 28 and the 30 November 2019. During this conference, our school had the opportunity to create new connections between several European schools. A number of new partners were formed and already started working on a virtual eTwinning project. The aim is to then change this virtual project into a real life Erasmus + programme where the exchange between students and teachers to these new partner schools could be possible.
