World Down’s Syndrome Day

World Down’s Syndrome Day 2024 theme:

End The Stereotypes

All over the world, events are held to amplify the voices of people who have Down’s Syndrome, with this year’s theme being ‘End The Stereotypes’ – an attempt to reduce the stigma that people with Down’s Syndrome cannot achieve or succeed like their peers.

World Rare Disease Day

Today during the assembly we celebrated World Rare Disease Day. World Rare Disease Day is observed on the last day of February each year. It’s a day to raise awareness about rare diseases and the challenges faced by those affected by them. It’s an opportunity to advocate for better access to treatment and support for individuals and families dealing with rare diseases.

Il-Kotba Ħbieb tat-Tfal

The National Literacy Agency is distributing the books of “Il-Kotba Ħbieb tat-Tfal” initiative. This scholastic year the children of the first and second year of primary will receive a set of books.

Each student will receive four books; two in Maltese and two in English. We encourage children to read them and keep them at home in their library.

Carnival Celebrations

When the school administration proposed that all year groups prepare a small carnival float, they never expected the overwhelming enthusiasm and the incredible artwork that would follow. Teachers, LSEs, and students collaborated in the project and today we could see the result of their exceptional teamwork. The judges were impressed by how traditions and modern elements were combined to instill in our young students the carnival spirit. The event was also enriched by the inclusion of a traditional poem accompanying every carnival float. We are immensely proud of the dedication and creativity demonstrated by our staff and students alike. Well done to all 🤡🎉👽
