Head of school Ms Pauline Grech and Ms Joanne Sultana were the main speakers and led workshops during a seminar on autism. This seminar was held in Riga, Latvia on Saturday 22nd February 2020.

A group of parents attended a Clicker 7 course at the Special Unit to be able to use this software at home with their children. This software is a learning tool which facilitates literacy, numeracy and communication skills. During the course Ms Pauline Grech disseminated information and experience about the course held in the UK as part of the project ‘Dealing with Autism in Gozo 2’.




Ms Joanne Sultana represented our school and prepared a presentation about the work done at Sannat Special Unit including information about the Erasmus+ project ‘ Dealing with Autism in Gozo 2’

As part of the Erasmus + Project Dealing with Autism in Gozo 2, the Head of School, Assistant Head, 2 teachers and an LSE from Sannat Primary & Special Unit attended a week training in the United Kingdom on ‘Children with additional needs and their associated behaviours.’ The workshop was delivered by Ms Honor Coombs from Concept Training. The course focused on strategies on how to deal with behaviour issues for children with ASD. They also had the opportunity to do some job shadowing and observe such practices in action at Pendle View Primary School in Colne, Lancashire.
